April 3rd - CSA, Market, and Planting Update!

CSA, Market, and Planting - Season is getting going!

CSA Update
Our CSA is officially up and running! As this is our first year, we’re starting small with limited spots, aiming to provide 6-10 items per week as we refine our systems. CSA is more than just a weekly produce box—it’s a partnership between the farmer and the community, sharing both the rewards and challenges of each growing season. Your upfront support allows us to diversify crops, experiment with new varieties, and build a stronger, more resilient farm. Education is also a key piece of our CSA model, and we’re looking forward to hosting members on the farm to deepen their connection to the food system. A huge thank you to everyone who has signed up already!

Market Update
We’re gearing up for market season! You can find us at the Greenport Farmers Market on Fridays from 2-5 PM (May 23 - Sept 12) and the Babylon Farmers Market on Sundays from 8 AM - 12 PM (June 1 - Oct 26). We’re also thrilled to join the Vegan LI pop-up events, as well as the Spring Market at Lewis Oliver Farm Animal Sanctuary most Saturdays in April and May. These events are a great opportunity to connect, share our mission, and bring fresh, local, cruelty-free produce to the community. We hope to see you there!

What’s Growing
We’ve been dialing in our techniques with the Paperpot Transplanter and are excited to put it to work this season. In the ground right now: spinach, radish, kale, beets, lettuce heads, and peas. Tomatoes have been potted up into 4" containers and are on their way to the high tunnel. Peppers and eggplants are a little behind schedule, but they’ll be seeded this week alongside some other new additions. Spring is in full swing, and we can’t wait to share the harvest with you!

Feel free to reach out with any questions—we’re always open to visitors and volunteers. And great news—our Google Maps location is finally updated, so finding us just got a whole lot easier!
